Hurricane Matthew, the most brutal Caribbean storm in a decade devastated Haiti. The aftermath of the storm was detrimental with hundreds of families losing loved ones and communities experiencing unbelievable destruction. The majority of the homes in the most affected region were damaged or completely destroyed.
Safe and clean water is a top priority due to Cholera cases growing daily. As we continue to pray for those who have experienced a great loss, we urge you to join us in this relief effort as the need is great.
We have mounted an effort alongside several prominent organizations to lend a hand to the families suffering abroad.
Along with drafting a City Resolution, which will enabled the City of Miramar to accept donations from residents, employees, and business owners, we are also accepting donations from the public such as clothes, medical supplies, hygiene products, shoes, non-perishable food, etc. to be distributed at a later date in Haiti. The drop off- Sites are:
2. Miramar City Hall: 2300 Civic Center Place Miramar, FL 33025
These sites will serve as a drop-off point for anything gently used that can be sent to Haiti. In the coming days we will begin describing the efforts and the steps we have taken to ensure that all resources be used solely for the benefit of those who have been affected by Hurricane Matthew. Thank you for your help and support.
