On Saturday May 27th, the Miramar Cultural Center will open its doors to receive Dedette’s Wedding Ceremony, an amazing comedy show like no other which will finally touchdown in Miami after many successful representations in other places. Alan Cavé will host the reception, music by Dj Nicky Mix and will enhance this great celebration which falls right in time for Haitian Mother’s day!

Enjoy the exotic eats and mystique of the islands explored in national TV show 'Taste the Islands' (Create TV and public television). The event is presented by show creators Blondie Ras Productions, with the co-sponsorship of Miramar Mayor Wayne Messam.
This evening of fine Caribbean cuisine will feature a selection of gourmet appetizers prepared by the show’s celebrity chefs Jamaican Hugh “Chef Irie” Sinclair and Haitian Cynthia “Chef Thia” Verna, along with Chef Barbara Brathwaite representing the island of Barbados. Series presenter "Lisa Lee" Arneaud will host. Attendees will also enjoy a selection of tropical cocktails, music and dancing in a setting that recalls the look, taste and feel of the islands.
A silent auction will benefit non-profit partner Food for the Poor, and guests will receive special gifts for enrolling as supporting members of South Florida PBS (Channel 2). Show merchandise will be available.

Don’t miss this fabulous celebration of Caribbean-American arts and culture starring ‘Reggae Ambassadors’ Third World, one of the most-respected and influential Reggae bands of all time, and one of Jamaica’s most consistently popular crossover acts. Mixing elements of R&B, funk, pop, rock, dancehall and rap, Third World’s style has been described as “reggae-fusion.” With a catalogue of charted smash hits (including “Now That We Found Love,” “96 Degrees in the Shade,” and “Try Jah Love”), Third World’s monumental career spans over four decades and includes sold-out tours and over 25 live and studio albums.

Our First Annual Broadway Festival of South Florida comes to a rousing climax with this Tony, Oscar and Grammy Award-winning classic that follows the rise and fall of a 1960’s girl group and the triumphs and tribulations that come with fame and fortune.
