The Miramar Cultural Center / ArtsPark was created to celebrate creativity and diversity within the city. This landmark is a vibrant, urban destination located in the heart of the Miramar Town Center, situated adjacent to our City Hall. Centrally located, the center is visible and accessible from Red Road, Miramar Boulevard and Hiatus Road.

Department Overview

This department administers arts and cultural programs and activities under the guidance of the department's pre-determined annual business initiatives for the City of Miramar. The department's primary oversight for programming and facilities are the Miramar Cultural Center | ArtsPark facility.

The Miramar Cultural Center | ArtsPark (MCC) is supported by two boards, the Cultural Arts Advisory Board, a council comprised of residents of Miramar appointed by the Commissioners, and the Miramar Cultural Trust, Inc., a not-for-profit board organized is to support the arts in the City of Miramar, to provide endowment and annual financial support for the Miramar Cultural Arts Center, and to encourage, solicit and administer gifts and bequests of property and funds for the advancement and long-term fiscal viability of the Miramar Cultural Arts Center and its projects and programs.

The "Buy Tickets" link is not working. What can I do?

If you are having trouble with internet explorer, please follow the following steps:
Go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Settings and turn on allow TLS 1.1 and 1.2.
If the web site cannot be viewed in other browsers like Chrome or Firefox, all you need do is update to a later version of the browsers.

How will I know if a show is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances

In the unlikely event of a cancellation, all ticket holders will be contacted by phone or the e-mail address associated with their ticket purchase. In addition, other forms of media maybe used to contact ticket holders, including social media and radio.
REFUNDS DUE TO CANCELLATION
Tickets to cancelled events will be automatically refunded to the credit card used to purchase tickets. If your tickets were purchased with cash at the box office, and you have not been contacted by us yet, please contact the box office with your order number ready. MCC does not give cash refunds, you will receive a check back by mail from the City of Miramar.. If your tickets were purchased through a private vendor, you must receive your refund from the private vendor - MCC cannot provide your refund under any circumstances if the tickets were purchased through a third party other than our ticketing system.

When should I arrive for the show?

The box office opens 2 hours prior to performance. Our lobby doors open one hour prior to the performance time. The theater opens approximately ½ hour prior to performance. We encourage guests to arrive early.

How do I find out the length of the performance and if there’s an intermission?

Due to the wide array of programming all times and intermissions are subject to change at the discretion of artist management. We include information we receive from artist management regarding length of performance on our website, and you may ask an usher for updated information when you arrive.

I lost an item on a recent trip to the center. What is the phone number for lost and found?

If you have lost or found an item at our venue, you may contact 954-602-4540.

What if I arrive after the performance starts?

Once the performance begins, late seating is at the discretion of management. The late seating policy varies from show to show because the policy is set by artist management of each production.

What is the dress code for attending an event?

We have no set dress code policy, We reserve the right to deny entry for inappropriate dress, but we welcome guests in appropriate attire, from casual to black tie.

When does the building open?

Our outer lobby opens one hour prior to show time, and our theater opens ½ hour prior to performance. Our box office opens two hours prior to each performance.

What food and beverage services are available?

Selections vary by show. MCC concessions are available at most performances. Outside food and beverage are not permitted in MCC facilities.

Are food and beverages allowed into the theater?

Outside food and beverage are not permitted in MCC facilities. MCC Concessions may be consumed in our spacious outer lobby. Food and beverage are generally not permitted inside the theater.

Is photography and/or recording devices allowed?

All audio, visual, and recording devices are strictly prohibited. Artist management will occasionally permit photography with non-professional cameras and/or mobile phones. You may ask an usher upon arrival.

Is standing allowed?

Everyone with a reserved ticket must be in their seat. Standing is not permitted in the aisles.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking of any form including electronic cigarettes is not allowed inside the building. There are designated smoking areas outside.

What is your policy on electronic cigarettes?

Please use electronic cigarettes in designated smoking areas only.

Can I bring my own food and beverage?

The Miramar Cultural Center is a full-service catering facility. Our award winning culinary team can provide food and beverage to satisfy any palate! Please speak to one of our team members for more information.

How many people can the banquet hall hold a for a banquet?

The Banquet Hall can accommodate up to 300 people for a banquet.

How many seats are in the Theatre?

The theatre has 778 seats.

Do I need insurance?

The City of Miramar requires that all renters have insurance for their event. The Cultural Center team can assist you with obtaining the necessary insurance required.

What are the hours of the Art Gallery?

The Art Gallery is open Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
