Miramar's High School students pen essays on Women’s History Month.

In 1987, Congress declared March as National Women's History Month in perpetuity to honor the extraordinary achievements of American women. Vice President Kamala D. Harris - Achievement, Opportunity, Precedence and Purpose.

This was the theme presented to high school students at schools in Miramar to inspire them to write an essay in celebration of Women’s History Month, where all participant Essays are displayed on this website and a Winner/s will be chosen to read an excerpt during the March 24th Commission Meeting.

The Honorees will receive:

Recognition at the Miramar Commission Meeting on March 24, 2021 with an excerpt from their essays being read.
A Feature in our City Newsletter, distributed to 30,000 Subscribers.
Full essay displayed on this website.
Acknowledgement on city social media platforms.
Honoree Certificate, signed by City Officials.
Newly released Autographed copy of "The Ambitious Collective" book, written by Cultural Affairs Director, Camasha Cevieux.
