School Day Matinee Field Trips
Enriching, entertaining and educating children in public, private, parochial and home schools through the magic of professional live theater and visual arts are an integral part of our mission. In collaboration with the school district, teaching artists, and arts organizations, we strive to provide curriculum-based arts education experiences for our children and families.
To make these experiences more fulfilling and accessible for all students, MCC provides post-performance chat backs, behind the scenes and art gallery tours, lunch and logistical support. All teachers receive specific performance guidebooks containing lesson plans, plot synopses, historical background information and activity suggestions that can be used in the classroom before and after the performance.
We offer numerous opportunities to educational groups including low-cost theater, dance and music events and free visits to our art gallery. Pair that with lunch in our banquet hall or a visit to our Wishing Garden where students can make a wish and view the beautiful artwork in the garden.
